Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
• Registered Nurses (RNs) hired or promoted into this role must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire or promotion date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• FEMA training IC 100 and IC 200, Emergency Notification System training, and Emre training within 12 months of hire.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Two (2) years of clinical experience which includes the management of critical and complex patients.
• ACLS and PALS certifications upon hire or within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hospital activities during a shift and coordinate patient care across areas and departments.
• Respond to risk management, employee health issues, codes and traumas.
• Maintain competency in EMR and other clinical applications to improve efficiency.
• Oversee staffing, cover gaps, and provide feedback on staff performance.
• Facilitate patient flow and transitions of care across the acute care continuum.
• Promote safety, professional growth, and alignment with organizational goals.
