These structured programs support newly licensed nurses transitioning into professional practice with clinical orientation, classroom education, simulation, mentorship, peer support, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.

Hospitals include Edward, Elmhurst, Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Northwest Community, Skokie, offering full-time

Qualifications

• BSN or higher preferred.
• ADN may be considered based on hospital-specific requirements.
• ADN-prepared nurses must obtain BSN within five years of starting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Current Illinois RN license or eligibility for license-pending employment.
• Candidates awaiting IL RN licensure may practice under supervision if NCLEX passed and license application/fee submitted by start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, professional, and patient-centered nursing care per RN Act and policies.
• Participate in clinical orientation, classroom education, simulation, and reflective learning.
• Develop bedside skills through supervised practice and experiential learning.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interprofessional team.
• Contribute to evidence-based practice and quality improvement projects.
