Job summary

Endeavor Health offers an RN New Graduate Residency Program across multiple Illinois hospital locations (Edward, Elmhurst, Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, and more). The March 15, 2027 cohort focuses on structured orientation, classroom education, simulation, mentorship, and evidence‑based practice to support new graduates transitioning to professional nursing.

Candidates should have a BSN preferred; ADN considered with BSN within five years.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher preferred.
• ADN may be considered based on hospital-specific requirements.
• ADN-prepared nurses must obtain BSN or higher within five years.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, professional, and person-centered nursing care.
• Participate in clinical orientation, classroom education, simulation, and mentorship.
• Develop bedside skills through supervised practice and experiential learning.
• Use clinical equipment, documentation systems, and electronic health records.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond effectively.
• Progress from task-based learning toward clinical judgment and autonomy.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interprofessional team.
• Apply communication and conflict-management strategies for safe care.
• Discuss ethical issues including end-of-life care and hospice transitions.
• Collaborate to promote optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Participate in evidence-based practice and quality improvement projects.

Education

BSN or higher preferred.

ADN may be considered.

BSN within five years if ADN holder.

CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Current Illinois RN license or eligibility.
