Job summary

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Step-Down Unit on a full-time night shift with rotating weekends. This role provides nursing care under supervision, performing assessments, planning and coordinating care, and documenting interventions.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least 1 year of RN

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• 1 year of RN experience is required; specialty areas may have additional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and age-appropriate assessments.
• Develops and coordinates Plan of Care with interdisciplinary team.
• Documents interventions accurately and timely; maintains patient records.
• Prioritizes nursing interventions based on assessment and changes in condition.
