Job summary

UT Southwestern is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical PCU Unit. The role involves delivering nursing care under supervision, with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program (Texas BON 217.1).
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• 1 year of RN experience. Specialty areas may have increased experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments. All assessments consider age-specific criteria.
• Anticipates patient and family needs to develop an appropriate plan of care.
• Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care and communicates with the health care team.
• Prioritizes interventions and reports changes in condition with prompt follow-up.
