Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process and participate in teaching and leadership activities. The role requires adherence to FH standards, compliance programs, and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing care plans, assessing patients, and communicating with the health care team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or a compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
• CPR certification is required; BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and discharge planning per nursing standards.
• Document and communicate changes in patient assessment promptly and accurately.
• Initiate, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans using nursing diagnosis.
• Coordinate with family and other disciplines to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and families; document teaching and outcomes.
