Job summary

Frederick Health in Frederick, MD is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join the Level III NICU on the night shift (7pm–7:30am). The 72-hour bi-weekly schedule includes three 12-hour shifts and weekend/holiday rotation to provide continuous, high-quality care for extremely low birth weight babies.

The RN provides comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, leads and mentors staff, communicates across disciplines, and participates in quality improvement efforts while ensuring

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or compact state.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years.
• BLS certification required; NRP certification required upon hire or within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan care using the nursing process.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to staff as part of the department.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Communicate with the health care team and participate in quality improvement.
• Floats to other units as needed and supports discharge planning.
