Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg, Geriatrics & Cardiology. The role offers 36 hours per week with nights, including some weekend and holiday shifts.

The 6 West unit emphasizes NICHE geriatrics care, pulmonary meds, and critical care support within a mission-driven environment. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document care, and support continuous quality improvement while pursuing professional growth

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as an RN in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• Certification in BLS/ACLS required in certain units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical Surgical, geriatrics, and Cardiology units; assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, educate patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
