Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4 East Medical Surgical/Orthopedics unit. The RN will provide patient-centered care on a 36-hour night schedule with every-other-weekend/holiday rotations.

Candidates must be licensed in Massachusetts, have BLS, and ACLS where required; degrees (Diploma/ASN/BSN) are preferred with BSN within 4 years. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Massachusetts.
• BLS certification required; ACLS in certain units.
• Degree: Diploma/ASN/BSN; BSN within 4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care on Medical Surgical unit.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate and educate patients.
• Communicate with health care team, patients and families.
• Update and manage patient records and interpret data.
• Follow BMC nursing guidelines and participate in quality improvements.
• Support leadership and collaborate on staffing and training.
