Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an RN for the 9A Medical-Surgical unit. This 24-bed, fast-paced unit cares for medically complex patients, with a focus on teamwork and patient safety. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for external applicants willing to commit to 3 years.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and care teams. BLS is required within 30 days of hire, and Illinois RN licensure is mandatory.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois or applicable Board.
• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Completes patient assessments and plans of care.
• Delivers medications and monitors patient responses.
• Ensures safety measures and quality of care on shift.
