Job summary

Carle Health is hiring an RN for the 9A Medical-Surgical unit to provide high-quality care to adult patients. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants, and the unit operates with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio and 24 private beds.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, med administration, and collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety and outcomes. Requirements include BLS within 30 days, RN licensure, and an Associate's degree or higher.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - IDFPR
• Education: H.S. Diploma/GED; Associate's Degree

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment upon admission and develops plan of care.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Maintains accurate documentation for care team coordination.
• Communicates with care team to resolve issues and ensure safety.
• Delivers medications using the 5 Rights and ensures timely administration.
