Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking an experienced RN for 9A Medical-Surgical with a 1:5 patient ratio and 24 beds. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and high-quality care on a fast-paced unit.

External applicants may receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The ideal candidate will hold an RN license and BLS, with strong assessment, medication administration, and collaboration skills across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Licensed RN in good standing with IDFPR.
• Unit 9A Medical-Surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care and documents accurately per unit standards.
• Completes initial assessment and develops care plans with patient/family.
• Administers medications and ensures right patient, right dose, right route.
• Maintains safety measures: fall precautions, isolation, ambulation safety.
• Communicates with care team to coordinate interdisciplinary care.
• Participates in shift handoffs and bed-side report withRN team.
