Job summary

Carle Health seeks an experienced RN for the 9A Medical-Surgical unit. The unit has 24 private beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6. It emphasizes teamwork among nurses, providers, families, therapists and pharmacists to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The role requires BLS within 30 days, an Illinois RN license, and unit competency completion. External applicants only; sign-on bonus available with 1-year to 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• RN license in Illinois (IDFPR).
• HS Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit duties per scope of service and maintains care plans.
• Documents nursing care accurately for care team.
• Completes initial admission assessment and develops care plan.
• Maintains patient safety and responds to call lights promptly.
• Communicates to promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
