Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced RN for the 9A Medical‑Surgical unit. This 24-bed unit serves adults with diverse diagnoses, requiring close collaboration with physicians, families, therapists and pharmacists to deliver safe, high‑quality care.

Expect a fast-paced environment where teamwork and communication drive patient outcomes. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available for external applicants with a 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois or applicable state board.
• Education: H.S. Diploma/GED; Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards.
