Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is hiring an RN MDS Coordinator in Hendersonville, NC. You will coordinate and submit MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans in accordance with CMS RAI rules. The role involves educating care staff, reviewing care plans, and ensuring timely CMS reporting and billing.

The position requires an active RN license, 2 years of nursing experience (geriatric preferred), and CPR certification. Sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Two years of nursing experience; geriatric nursing preferred.
• CPR certification required or obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with completion and submission of interdisciplinary MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans according to CMS RAI Manual Regulations.
• Notify DON of changes in patient condition identified by MDS Assessments.
• Educate direct care staff on CMS RAI Manual updates affecting documentation.
• Assist with review of Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Care Plan.
• Review CMS Reports and ensure timely completion and proper billing.
• Attend PPS meetings and other required meetings.
• Perform staff nurse duties as needed; provide excellent patient service.
• Assist in patient evacuation and maintain professional conduct.
