Job summary

Atrium Health Union is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support the Nursing Float Pool with 24 hours per week. Shifts are 2x12 hours, 7p-7a, with every other weekend and potential to float to other Atrium Health Union facilities. Must hold an RN license with BLO and be willing to float to Union, Union West, and Anson.

The role emphasizes safety, evidence-based care, teamwork, and ongoing professional development in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patient and family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies according to clinical protocols.
