Atrium Health Union - Nursing Float Pool is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time role offering a 36-hour week. The position features three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m.

to 7:00 p.m.) and every-other weekend, with floating to Atrium Health Union, Union West, and Anson as required. The RN will follow the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, uphold patient safety, and document in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• BLS certification required; telehealth/virtual modalities require license in the state.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care; engages patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution; delegates appropriately.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required education and certifications.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan as per departmental standards.
