Job summary

Atrium Health Union is seeking an experienced RN for the Nursing Float Pool. The role involves 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (7a-7p) with every other weekend, and the RN may float to Atrium Health Union, Union West, and Anson campuses.

The ideal candidate will have a valid RN license, BLS, and a BSN preferred. The position emphasizes evidence-based care, patient/family engagement, and strong teamwork across units.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Active RN license in applicable state with multi-state privileges.
• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with team collaboration.
• Maintains a culture of safety and accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Demonstrates effective communication and delegation within the care team.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains certifications.
