Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a registered nurse for a 36-hour week, full-time nursing float pool. The role requires managing patient care across units, utilizing nursing processes, and ensuring safety and quality in a dynamic environment.

The position emphasizes strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Must be willing to float to Atrium Health Union and related facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BLS certification required.
• Active RN license in the state(s) where practice is permitted.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes, and maintains safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to clinical protocols and procedures.
• May float to Atrium Health Union, Union West and Anson as needed.
