Job summary

Mercy in Missouri seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead a unit, ensure quality patient care, and manage staffing and resources. The role requires BSN or progress toward it, four years of clinical experience, and current RN licensure with CPR/NRP credentials.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, teaching, coordinating with medical and administrative teams, and steering quality and safety initiatives. A strong emphasis on cost control and policy compliance supports Mercy's mission.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• BSN degree or to complete within 2 years.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Four years of clinical specialty experience; manage, supervise, teach, improve performance, and budget.
• CPR and NRP certifications.
• Must pass a medication and math competency test prior to medication administration.
• BS/MS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients per age-specific needs.
• Maintain staffing at an appropriate level with skilled personnel.
• Assure patient safety and effective pain management; monitor resource utilization.
• Delegate and direct staff in delivery of care; collaborate with medical staff and administration.
• Participate on nursing committees; ensure compliance with safety and infection control policies.
