Job summary

Talented-Medical-Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in Arizona to provide care across labor, delivery, recovery and the immediate postpartum period, including newborn care and education. You will monitor maternal and fetal status and support families during the birth experience.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, BLS and NRP certifications, and prior obstetric or L&D nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (Arizona).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
• Labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate tracings.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and oxytocin per physician orders.
• Assist during vaginal and operative deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.
• Recognize obstetric and neonatal emergencies and initiate interventions.
• Provide postpartum care, newborn assessment, feeding support and discharge education.

Job Summary

Provides nursing care to obstetric patients through labor, delivery, recovery and the immediate postpartum period, and to newborns following birth. Performs continuous maternal and fetal monitoring, recognizes complications and intervenes appropriately. Supports patients and families throughout the birth experience and provides newborn and postpartum education.

Education & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Required
• Labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience: Required

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: Required
