Job summary

Talented-Medical-Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in Minnesota. The role involves caring for obstetric patients through labor, delivery, recovery and the immediate postpartum period, plus newborn care and family education.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree from an accredited program, MN RN licensure, and BLS/NRP certifications, with prior labor and delivery experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery and recovery.
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate tracings.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and oxytocin or other agents per physician orders.
• Assist the provider during vaginal and operative deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.
• Recognize obstetric and neonatal emergencies and initiate appropriate intervention.
• Provide postpartum care, newborn assessment, feeding support and discharge education.

Job Summary

Performs continuous maternal and fetal monitoring, recognizes complications and intervenes appropriately. Supports patients and families throughout the birth experience and provides newborn and postpartum education.

Education & Experience

Licenses & Certifications
