Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to care for laboring patients and their newborns through antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. You will monitor maternal well-being, assist with deliveries, manage medications, and provide newborn care and family education.

Required RN license in the practicing state and BLS; NRP is required, EFM and ALSO certifications preferred. On-site role with opportunities to impact maternal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice is required.
• BLS certification is required; NRP certification is required; EFM certification is preferred; ALSO certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate patterns during labor.
• Administers medications per physician orders, including oxytocin and pain management.
• Assists with vaginal deliveries and supports cesarean sections.
• Provides immediate newborn assessment and care after delivery.
• Educates patients and families on labor progress, pain management, and postpartum recovery.
• Recognizes and responds to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage or fetal distress.

Education & Experience
