Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery to provide specialized care for mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period. The role involves assessing patients, monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced obstetric setting.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• RN license in the practicing state or Compact license.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications preferred or required by facility policy.
• Recent Labor & Delivery, Women’s Health, or Obstetrics nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients.
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns, uterine activity, and maternal status throughout labor and delivery.
• Assist physicians during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
• Provide newborn care, stabilization, and patient/family education.
• Recognize and respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team to coordinate care.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
