Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in Minnesota. The role provides nursing care to obstetric patients through labor, delivery, recovery and immediate postpartum, plus newborn care after birth.

You will perform continuous maternal and fetal monitoring, recognize complications, and intervene as needed while supporting families through the birth experience and providing postpartum education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Required.
• Labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience; Required.
• RN licensure in the state of practice; Required.
• BLS and NRP certification; Required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery and recovery.
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate tracings.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and oxytocin or other agents per physician orders.
• Assist the provider during vaginal and operative deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.
• Recognize obstetric and neonatal emergencies and initiate appropriate intervention.
• Provide postpartum care, newborn assessment, feeding support and discharge education.
