Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery to provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

The role emphasizes monitoring fetal and maternal status, assisting with deliveries, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality maternal and newborn care.

Qualifications

• ASN is required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice or Compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications are preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Labor & Delivery, Women's Health, or Obstetrics nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients.
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns, uterine activity, and maternal status throughout labor and delivery.
• Assist physicians during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
• Provide newborn care, stabilization, and patient/family education.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to obstetric and neonatal emergencies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
