Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to support a 13-week assignment in Wisconsin. Description:The unit has a total of 11 beds for labor and post-partum patients.There is 1 OR suite available for C-sections.The unit also has 1 triage bed.Approximately 320 births occur each year.The facility follows AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios.The required certifications include BLS and NRP.Common diagnoses include vaginal births, C-sections, inductions, special care nursery cases, and hysterectomies.RNs are expected to manage IV medications to induce labor and assist with epidurals.The charge nurse and house supervisor are present; the charge nurse takes an assignment.There are no nurse aides or surgical techs on this unit.OB Anesthesia is available in-house 24/7.Respiratory Therapy can assist with special care nursery babies.There are no Tele/Monitor Techs; RNs are required to read their own strips.The EFM system used is Novii.Self-scheduling is allowed, with night shifts being the most needed.Weekend work is required every third week, and holiday work is required every other.There is no call or standby requirement.Floating to other units may occur, but only to assist without taking on patient loads.Scrub color and dress code are hospital supplied.All clinicians must clock in and out while on site.
