Cynet HealthStaff seeks an RN - Labor and Delivery for a 13-week night shift position from 19:00 to 07:00. The unit features LDRP and NICU beds with 1:1 care during active labor, inductions, and C-sections. Bring a current RN license and BLS/NRP; experience in OB emergencies is preferred.

Must-Have:
Labor and delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment.Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies preferred.Advanced skills needed: fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil).
Description:The unit contains 9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite.Patient ratios are 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections, with couplet care at 1:3 for newborns until stable.The NICU operates at a 1:3 intermediate care ratio, with 2 nurses required in the unit if applicable.The unit does not have techs or unit secretaries.Available equipment includes CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologists, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps.Documentation systems in use are Meditech and CPN.Full-time scheduling consists of 3 shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.Staff may be required to float to other areas within the facility as needed, with some cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU.Daily rounding on all patients is expected to ensure patient experience and safety.The unit is certified by the Joint Commission and has a Level II Trauma and Level II NICU designation.Procedures performed on the unit include C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries.The unit has a supportive and experienced team, with several seasoned RNs available as resources and preceptors.This environment is ideal for gaining experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonate care.
