Job summary

Springfield Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the Department of Nursing, following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice and collaborating with specialty-specific standards. You will use the Nursing Process to guide care, document progress, and delegate tasks as appropriate.

The role emphasizes compliance with state and federal laws, ongoing professional development, and effective communication with patients and teammates.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active Vermont Registered Nurse license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Aseptic technique.
  • Scrub and circulating nurse skills for various services (within six (6) months of hire).
  • Basic Dysrhythmia.
  • De-escalation training (preferred).
  • Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
  • Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
  • Effective people skills and communication.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will:

Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $35.13 - $57.64 per hour. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education and experience of the successful candidate.
