Job summary

Northstar Post Acute is seeking an RN supervisor to oversee daily nursing activities during shifts, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local standards. You will participate in policy creation, QA, and coordination with other departments to maintain high-quality resident care.

The role requires nursing licensure and preferred 2+ years in a long-term care setting, with strong leadership and communication skills to guide the nursing team and support resident discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree and an active RN license.
• 2+ years of experience in a long-term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day nursing activities during the tour of duty.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Develop, maintain, and update policies and procedures for nursing services.
• Lead nursing staff governance including QA activities and committee participation.
• Plan and participate in discharge planning and coordination with other departments.
• Review and report on department performance and staffing to the DON/ADON as required.
