Job summary

NORTHSTAR in is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards in a long-term care facility. You will guide staff, monitor care quality, and coordinate with leadership to maintain high standards of resident care.

The role involves supervising nursing service operations, developing policies, and reporting to the Administrator.

Qualifications

• Nursing leadership and supervision experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities.
• Ability to develop and update nursing service policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Assist in directing day-to-day nursing functions in accordance with rules and guidelines.
• Attend committee meetings and prepare reports as required.
• Ensure staff comply with Nursing Service Procedures Manual and job descriptions.
• Review discharge plans and coordinate care with other resident services.
• Participate in quality assurance and facility surveys.
• Ensure adequate staffing of licensed/certified nursing personnel.
