You will direct staff, participate in policy development, coordinate with other departments, review plans and reports, and support the DON/ADON. The role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise in long-term care, and a commitment to safe, compassionate resident care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day nursing activities during the tour of duty.
• Ensure supervision aligns with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Participate in policy formation and maintenance for the nursing service.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage reports and communications to the Director of Nursing Services as required.
• Assist in discharge planning and quality assurance within the nursing department.
