Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a full-time Float RN for Greenville Hospital to provide nursing care across multiple departments, including Med/Surg, ICU, Emergency, and OB. The role offers cross-training opportunities and a pay incentive for Float assignments.

Responsibilities include delivering care per ANA standards, applying the nursing process, and maintaining professional performance. Eligible candidates must be an RN with an active MI license and required certifications, with shift flexibility

Qualifications

  • Associates in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • BLS within 90 days, ACLS within 6 months, PALS within 180 days, TNCC, ENPC within 1 year, NRP within 180 days.

A Float position gives you the opportunity to cross train to Med Surg, ICU, Emergency Departments, and OB. Float offers an opportunity to learn a broader skill set and enhance your skills by working in these departments. There also is a pay incentive for working Float.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Associates in Nursing Required

  • Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years

  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required

  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days

  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months

  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association within 180 Days

  • CRT-Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association within 1 Year

  • CRT-Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

  • AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required within 180 days
