Corewell Health’s Float Pool at Big Rapids Hospital is hiring a registered nurse to cross-train across Med Surg, ICU, Emergency, and OB. This role offers wider clinical exposure and a pay incentive for Float work.

In this full-time night position, you’ll apply the nursing process, deliver patient-centered care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve safe outcomes. RN license in Michigan and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing is required.
• Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years is required.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care following the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Uphold ANA standards, ethical/culturally congruent practice, and collaborative care to achieve optimal outcomes.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
