Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (RN)
• CNOR certification
• BLS within 30 days (AHA)
• College Diploma in Nursing and RNFA program completion
• Perioperative nursing experience (2+ years)

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries, ensuring needed trays and supplies are ready
• Provide patient care and support
• Administer medications
• Perform surgical tasks: hemostasis, suturing, draping, tissue handling
• Position and prepare patient on operating table
• Monitor vital signs and heart rate
• Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare
• Post-operative assessments and pain/complication monitoring
• Review patient history and health assessments
• Monitor surgical site for healing or infection
• Participate in research
• Scrub and circulate as needed
• Prepare supplies and coordinate equipment to maintain efficiency
• Assist in room turnover
