Genex Service LLC in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Medical Field Case Manager (RN) for a full-time hybrid role requiring travel to in-person appointments. You will coordinate care with physicians, employers, and injured workers to return to work and ensure cost-effective, quality care. A valid RN license and 2+ years of clinical practice are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• 2+ years clinical practice; workers’ compensation experience preferred.
• Ability to advocate recommendations with physicians/providers, employers, and customers; ability to work independently.
• Active RN license in good standing; URAC-recognized case management certifications listed.
• Travel to attend in-person appointments; reliable transportation.
• Reliable internet access.

Responsibilities

• Apply case management standards of practice.
• Advise on treatment plans based on injuries, medications, comorbidities, and job duties.
• Interview injured workers to assess recovery and occupational vs non-occupational factors.
• Collaborate with treating physicians/providers to tailor treatment plans.
• Work with employers and physicians to modify job duties for early return to work.
• Evaluate and modify case goals based on patient progress.
• Manage workload and prioritize cases; attend appointments and provide status updates.
