Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse for the ED in Burlington, WI. This 13-week onsite contract features 12-hour night shifts (6 PM–6 AM) with a 1:4–1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio and comprehensive stroke care responsibilities.

Applicants should have 2 years ED experience and current ACLS/PALS/BLS/TNCC/NIHSS certifications. Epic, Alaris, and Pyxis familiarity is preferred. Parking is free.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications required.
• Night shift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED nursing care to patients across all ages.
• Assist with RSI/intubation, procedural sedation, and patient restraints as needed.
• Collaborate with ED physicians and hospital staff to deliver timely care.

About Facility

• 123 bed facility
• No NICU level
• Primary Stroke Center
• AAH will require the Covid vaccine

General Information

• Beds: 14

Experience: 2 years
First-time traveler: No

• Emergency patients from neonates to geriatrics
• Pediatric experience- preferred 1% peds population
• Chest Pain, Abd Pain, Stroke, Neuro
• 2 Psych Patients average/ week
• Nurse - 1:4 (days) 1:5 (nights)

Required Certifications:

• ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• De-escalation not required

Skills required

• Triage, assisting with RSI/intubation, procedural sedation, restraints, blood products -mass transfusion, experience in stroke -neuro alert /criteria, trauma activations/care, Cardiac -STEMI

Support on the Unit:

• Charge nurse: does this person have patient load: Yes; mostly full patient load
• Phlebotomy- assist with blood draws if needed
• RT: 24/7
• Hospitalist: 24/7
• Midlevel from 10a-10p

Charting System/Equipment:

• Epic- preferred
• Alaris
• Pyxis

Floating: No

Orientation: 1 day of hospital and 1 day of unit orientation.

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation every 3 rd other
• Can we approve time off: Up to 7 days; if more contact Steve
