Job summary

Brooke Grove Retirement Village is seeking an RN Staff Development/Education Coordinator to lead facility-wide training and education initiatives. The role focuses on assessing staff learning needs, delivering both group and individual training, and ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

You will coordinate training across shifts, maintain training records, and contribute to orientation programs including infection control and vaccination education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; eligible for RN license.
• CPR Instructor Certification preferred.
• Must be an RN licensed by the MD Board of Nursing.
• 1–3 years long-term care clinical experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Determine staff learning needs and formulate facility-wide training goals.
• Provide leadership in setting training objectives for the facility.
• Provide one-on-one remedial training to address gaps in skills/knowledge.
• Use lectures, printed materials, hands-on demos, role-play, group sessions, and unit-based instruction for training.
• Schedule staff training across shifts and weekends as needed.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Develop and publish monthly training calendar.
