Job summary

Brooke Grove Retirement Village, part of the Brooke Grove Foundation, seeks an RN Staff Development/Education Coordinator to lead staff education and training across the facility. The role requires assessing learning needs and delivering programs that elevate care quality.

Candidates must hold an MD RN license and CPR Instructor Certification, with 1–3 years of long-term care experience and at least 1 year of health care training experience. Competitive pay up to $49/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preparing for RN licensure.
• Must be an RN licensed by the MD Board of Nursing.
• CPR Instructor Certification required.
• 1–3 years long-term care clinical experience highly desired.
• 1 year health care training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine staff learning needs.
• Lead facility-wide training goals and objectives.
• Provide one-on-one remedial training to address inadequate skills.
• Use varied training techniques (lecture, demonstrations, role-play, etc.).
• Provide training on all shifts and weekends as necessary.
• Attend meetings as needed.
• Develop and publish monthly training program calendar/schedule.
• Maintain records of staff attendance at in-service trainings.
• Provide orientation with infection control and other clinical information.
• Supervise training personnel and coach staff to improve performance.
• Keep training content current with licensure requirements.
• Serve as back-up interviewer for nursing department applicants.
• Part of the facility call rotation with other Nurse Leaders.
