Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Registered Nurse for Day Surgery to evaluate patients prior to surgery, educate families, and assist with perioperative preparation including IV therapy and medications.

You will participate in surgical site verification, work with an interdisciplinary team, and apply the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. On-call duties may be required during select non-business hours.

Formación

• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• RN—Registered Nurse license is required.
• Education: Associate Degree, RN Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about procedures and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Deliver safe nursing care and continuous improvement in a dynamic team.
