Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Registered Nurse to support perioperative care in a dynamic operating room team. You will evaluate patients pre- and post-surgery, educate families, prepare patients for procedures, and participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.

ACLS within 90 days and BLS within 30 days are required, with ADN or BSN. On-call is required during select non-business hours.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Degree in nursing (ADN or BSN) required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and perioperative process.
• Prepare patient with IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Conduct surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies with clinical judgment.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and staff.
