Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Registered Nurse for Day Surgery PRN. The role involves preoperative assessment, patient education, and peri-operative care within a collaborative operating room team.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or eligible
• ACLS required within 1 year of start date
• PALS required within 1 year of start date
• BCLS (or instructor) required within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide education to patient and family about peri-operative process
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds
• Conduct surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Monitor patient condition and document changes
• Collaborate with provider, surgeons, and anesthesia team
