Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care. You will assess patients, develop plans of care, and coordinate with licensed staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements include Iowa RN licensure (or multi-state license) and an Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred. BLS is required; acute care experience is a plus. A sign-on bonus is offered for new hires.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license or valid multi-state license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care preferred.
• Mandatory reporting of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within 6 months of hire and every 5 years.
• Cardiac Dysrhythmias and Management class within 3 months of hire and annual skill validation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs and document responses.
• Develop and implement plan of care including discharge planning.
• Guide and direct patient care activities with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide education and teaching to patients and families as needed.
