Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA, seeks an experienced registered nurse for a full-time day shift (12-hour days). The role offers a sign-on bonus starting at $10,000 and a 36-hour week schedule from 7:00am to 7:30pm, with a humane workload across the multidisciplinary team.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess patient needs, develop and implement plans of care, direct patient care activities, and guide learning for patients and staff while upholding

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Iowa or eligible by multi-state agreement.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Previous acute care experience preferred; Magnet certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and evaluates patient needs with the multidisciplinary team and documents responses to nursing interventions.
• Develops and implements plan of care including discharge planning based on standards and patient needs.
• Guides and directs patient care activities using clinical thinking and evidence-based practice.
• Provides daily direction to LPN and Nurse Assistant.
• Facilitates learning opportunities for patients and families with a teaching plan.
