Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse - Oncology for La Belle, Pennsylvania. The position offers a local pay rate of $52.50 per hour on a W2 basis, working day shifts in a correctional healthcare environment.

The RN will perform comprehensive oncology nursing care, administer chemotherapy under protocol, monitor patient responses, and educate patients and families about treatment plans. PA license in good standing and recent RN experience are required.

Qualifications

• PA license/certification in good standing
• 1+ year RN experience in last 3 years
• Copy of PSV from licensing board if required
• Copy of all required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization, TB test)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, monitoring, and management of patient needs.
• Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other prescribed treatments per protocols.
• Monitor treatment responses, side effects, and changes in condition; communicate concerns to the care team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, symptom management, and ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to support individualized care plans.

Shift Details:

• Day shift- 8 hours

RN Oncology Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, monitoring, and management of patient needs.
• Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other prescribed treatments according to established protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor patients for treatment responses, side effects, and changes in condition, and promptly communicate concerns to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, symptom management, and ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, patient responses, and care provided.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support individualized patient care plans and ensure continuity of care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted PA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as an RN
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,)
