Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Morganton, North Carolina to deliver high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. Local pay is $53.00 per hour (W2), with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for CEUs.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, EMR documentation, care coordination with physicians, and patient/family education. Requires NC RN license and 1+ year of recent experience.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing.
• 1+ year of recent experience as a LPN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope of practice.
• Maintain EMR with accurate and timely documentation.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care focusing on safety and quality outcomes.

Shift Details:

• 12hr - Midshift
• 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a LPN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
