Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Castle Hayne, NC in a correctional care setting. This on-site role offers local pay of $61.19/hour (W2) with Monday–Friday shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing essential patient care in a secure facility.

The RN administers medications, develops care plans, coordinates with interdisciplinary teams, and educates patients and families while ensuring EMR documentation and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of related experience within the last 3 years.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Additional certifications may be required.
• Copy of PSV or verification documents as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor progress and document assessments and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and health teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and related procedures within scope of practice.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and infection control standards.
• Keep accurate EMR records and ensure data integrity.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care focused on safety and quality.

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience within the last 3 years
• Valid BLS Certification
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
• Additional certifications may be required
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
