Job summary

HAN Staff seeks a Registered Nurse for an Indianapolis, IN assignment. Local pay is $52.50/hour with a dedicated travel package and stipends, reflecting the opportunity for broader compensation based on travel eligibility.

The RN will assess patients, administer medications, document EMR, and coordinate with the care team in a correctional healthcare setting. Minimum 1 year RN experience and IN license required. This full-time role includes benefits and supportive recruiting staff.

Responsibilities

Local Pay: $52.50/hour

Travel Package:

Travel Rate (based on 40 hours): Hrly $27.56, Stipend (Lodging $714.00 + M&I $315.00) = $1,029.00,

Total Comp :$2,021.26

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details:

• Days (0700-1930)

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and unrestricted IN license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an RN

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (Healthcare Provider BLS certification; TB screening with negative PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT results; Hepatitis B Consent/Declination Form; and proof of Rubella, Rubeola, and Varicella vaccination or titers ).
