Job summary

HAN Staff is seeking a Registered Nurse for Marion, North Carolina to deliver high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. You will assess conditions, administer medications, and coordinate care with the medical team to ensure safety and effective treatment.

The role requires an NC license, at least 1 year of RN experience, PSV compliance, and standard certifications. Local pay is $53/hour with travel pay options; shift is 8 hours, mid-shift 1:30pm–10:00pm.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Travel Pay: Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $31.03, Stipend (Lodging $770.00 + M&I $476.00) = $1,246.00

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as an RN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).
