Job summary

HAN Staff seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Corrections role in Los Angeles, CA. You will assess patients, administer medications, and coordinate care in a secure correctional setting.

Applicants must hold a CA license, have at least 1 year of RN experience, and provide PSV and current certifications. We offer competitive pay, health/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k), and travel stipends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor progress and document assessments and outcomes.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, meds, and discharge instructions.
• Respond to changes in condition and medical emergencies promptly.
• Perform wound care and IV therapy within scope of practice.
• Ensure infection control and EMR documentation compliance.

Shift Details

• Days(8 hour shift) 40 hrs a week

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a RN.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
